Join the SeeMate beta

SeeMate is in beta on Apple's TestFlight. It takes about two minutes to install, and it's free.

  1. Install TestFlight

    Get Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Ask for an invite

    Send a direct message to @0xProbabillity on X. You’ll get a TestFlight invite in reply. Open it on your iPhone and accept the beta.

  3. Install SeeMate

    Tap Install in TestFlight. SeeMate appears on your Home Screen. Open it and try the built-in demo game first.

Using Ray-Ban Meta glasses (optional)

SeeMate works with just your iPhone. If you have Ray-Ban Meta glasses (Gen 1 or Gen 2), you can connect them for hands-free coaching. You only need to do this once.

  1. Set up the glasses in Meta AI. Install the Meta AI app, pair your glasses and let it update their firmware.
  2. Turn on Developer Mode. In the Meta AI app, open Settings → App Info and tap the version number five times; then turn on Developer Mode for your glasses. Menu names can vary between Meta AI versions.
  3. Connect SeeMate. In SeeMate, open Settings → Ray-Ban Meta glasses → Connect with Meta AI, then approve the connection in Meta AI.
  4. Choose the source. Pick Ray-Ban Meta as the camera source in SeeMate.
  5. Allow camera access. When SeeMate sends you to Meta AI, allow it to use the glasses' camera.
  6. Put the glasses on. The video stream only starts while the glasses are being worn.

Once connected, SeeMate keeps coaching in the background with the glasses, even while your iPhone is locked.

Troubleshooting

“The app on your glasses needs an update”

Use the Troubleshooting buttons in SeeMate's settings, and update your glasses' firmware in the Meta AI app.

“Device unavailable”

Put the glasses on. They only stream while they are being worn.

It stopped working after a glasses firmware update

In Meta AI, turn Developer Mode off and on again. Then in SeeMate, tap Disconnect and Connect again.

The picture is black

Update the Meta AI app and the glasses' firmware, then restart the glasses.

Sending feedback

Beta feedback makes the biggest difference. Any of these works:

  • TestFlight feedback: take a screenshot while using SeeMate and choose to share it as beta feedback, with a short note.
  • Send diagnostics: in SeeMate, open Settings → Send diagnostics right after a recognition problem. What's included.

Fair play

SeeMate is for training, analysis, opening study and casual games with friends who know you're using it. Never use it in rated, online or tournament games. It breaks fair-play rules everywhere, over the board and online.
